Le Corbusier had some wacky ideas in his life—he wanted to turn Parisian architecture into a work of window-less brutalism. He designed a few chairs, painted a few canvases, but perhaps his only flawless design is something that he didn’t even have much of a say in. Arnys, the famous dandy Parisian clothier founded in 1933, designed a jacket for Le Corbusier called the Forestière. Still available in a variety of fabrics and colors, the jacket stands somewhere between a chore coat and a foppish cloak, meant to be worn strolling the autumnal streets of Paris—notebook and handkerchief stuffed carelessly into the breast pocket.
