I have done it for 3 months, never got a 'box', it usually shipped in a white envelope. I received several versions of the same style of shirt, different colors. Want to cancel but can't get them to pick up the phone. House brands probably not worth the value of major label who seem to have better quality (wrinkle-free, no holes, etc.). Don't bother...

Really enjoying Bombfell, pretty cool service, only issue I've had is fit. I've found that half the time I get my clothes they don't fit right. Just started using Fashion Metric, looks like they've got the fit problem solved and some pretty cool brands. Still I've only used them once so just getting started, has anyone else used them?

I use Tog + Porter and LOVE LOVE LOVE it! Every box feels like a gift and they get my style/fit every time.  Really impressed with this company and their customer service is unbelievable. Maureen is THE nicest and is always willing to help out even when I need an impromptu styling session. I heart TOG + PORTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@nickcarbone, thank you so much for the mention!  Just had my first LIVE style session from your article recommendation!  Tog + Porter is a one-stop-shop for head to toe looks that tailor each box to a women’s individual needs and lifestyle.

Like @MickeyCashen said, we've got the eye for style!!!

@JCPianiste  – hope to hear from you soon!

Make sure you shop with someone with an eye for style - especially if you, like me, don't have such and eye yourself!  I picked out a gray pinstripe suit in a store and went looking for a typical white shirt and gray tie to go with it.  A woman was suit-shopping for her son and I said, "Excuse me, I have a little color blindness and want to make sure the things I'm buying match.  She shook her head negatively at my shirt and tie choices and said, "Let's really get you looking good in that nice suit."  She ended up picking out a blue shirt and blue plus other colors tie.  The combination's been a hit every time I wear it: in fact, I'm wearing it on stage in my logo.  I never going clothes shopping now without taking someone with an eye for style!

Do any of these sites include women in their clientele?  I'd like to try something like this but it seems these sites all assume men are the only ones who'd be interested...

@evan_walton25  Just got my first box, and I already really like this service. None of the complaints you might find on the internet are accurate. The products are quality, and the shipment got there right around the time they said it would get there.

@JCPianiste I'm the co-founder of a similar service created just for women: CakeStyle (www.cakestyle.com).  We started CakeStyle in 2011 when we noticed the same assumption that you did!  Hope you will check us out.

Great write-up @nickcarbone!

There certainly are! Many cater to accessories, not clothes -- you may have heard of Birchbox and ShoeDazzle before. But there's also Tog + Porter, just one startup that I came across during my reporting that seems to be doing women's fashion similar to these men's companies.
