Chanel first announced that Knightley would represent its Coco Mademoiselle fragrance in late 2006, when she was 21. The ads did not appear until the next year, but they eventually arrived in both film and print. Coco Mademoiselle was designed for younger women, and the video ads addressed the demographic, incorporating fast-paced music to scenes of an energetic Knightley on a motorcycle. Her print advertisements show the angular beauty playfully biting the bottle. Fresh, indeed.
