Kimberly McDonald is known for creating exquisite jewelry using naturally found stones such as agates and geodes, and hanging them delicately from an earring or chain, often covering the stone’s perimeter in small diamonds. The designer also uses reclaimed gold and wood in her jewelry. This fall she is branching out with a series of home items based on her loved and oft-photographed jewels. The Kimberly McDonald Home collection features geometric pillows and a champagne saver with a signature rock at its top. My favorite pieces from the new collection are her paperweights, featuring decadent yet earthy geodes set in a clear lucite rectangular casing.
Kimberly McDonald Lucite Paperweight with Geodes or Agate, ranging from $180 – $125. Available at Forty Five Ten, Dallas, and Bergdorf Goodman.
