In a change-up from your usual New York Fashion Week runway show, Diane von Furstenberg sent her models down the catwalk this season with Google Glass—the $1,500 augmented-reality eyeglass frames that behave like smart phones (they can read texts aloud, record video and display directions). Footage recorded from the models, as well as video from stylists and DVF herself, are the basis of DVF [through Glass], a just-released short film designed to give audiences an insider’s look at the biannual fashion event, from model castings and backstage makeup to the drama of the live runway show.
