The new monthly delivery subscription service Le Parcel gives women a reason to celebrate getting their period (aside from it meaning good health and avoidance of an unwanted pregnancy). For $15 a month, subscribers receive a box of up to 30 products, chocolate and a surprise gift at the right time of the month every month—in essence, a hybrid of subscription luxury services like Birchbox and prescription deliveries like 1-800 contacts, with an extra serving of TLC. Users can state their expected cycle start date each month so that their pads or tampons (selected from brands including Playtex, Tampax, Kotex, and Always) arrive in a timely fashion and so they can avoid “awkward stares at the checkout stand.” All it’s missing is a box of Midol and some heating pads.
