I was introduced to Chanel’s Première watch through a video featuring very Parisian women dashing around the city of love wearing the newly remastered watch—a woman who has all the time in the world, and who can dash off in a second. The Première—so called because it was the brand’s first watch—debuted in 1987, but the French fashion house is releasing an updated version this month. I love the gold link chain and black lacquered face—the latter’s shape cleverly resembles that of Place Vendôme, where the Chanel Fine Jewelry boutique in Paris is located, as well as the iconic Chanel No. 5 perfume bottle. The chic, clean, watch comes in 14 different styles, with some offering mother-of-pearl faces and diamond detailing.
Chanel 18 karat yellow gold and black laquered dial watch, $24,500, available at Chanel Fine Jewelry Boutiques. Call 1.800.550.0005 for more information.
