MIT researcher Whitton has partnered with fashion designer Nugent to focus on personal security issues affecting women. That led to the development of the “No Contact Jacket,” which is capable of delivering a powerful shock to an attacker while simultaneously protecting the wearer from any electrical charge and allowing her time to escape.
