
Ok, it’s got a cute name. Get past that, because Dogfish Head’s perennial fall favorite – among true pumpkin beer aficionados, at least – is anything but. In fact, it’s probably the standard-bearer for pumpkin ales. With a cloudy, burnt sienna body, Punkin’s cinnamon, sweet brown sugar and allspice notes smell almost better than they taste. (Almost.) Punkin is big and bold and goes especially well with turkey, duck and lamb. Dare we say, it’s a great beer to go along with your fast-approaching Thanksgiving dinner – if you can hold on to one of ‘em for that long.
