When New York Knick Amar’e Stoudemire showed up to watch the Miami Heat in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals, he apparently thought he was heading to a hipster doofus biker rally. Donning a denim jacket with the sleeves ripped off, a Star of David gold chain, dark sunglasses and some sort of brimmed Reverend Run-like hat, Stoudemire’s outfit was widely ridiculed. But perhaps that was Stoudemire’s strategy all along. Fans temporarily forgot all about the Knicks’ playoff defeat just weeks before—at the hands of the Heat.
