The Oscar winner, 31, became the face of Parfums Dior in June 2010. Her first print ad debuted in February 2011, two months after her film Black Swan—which co-starred fellow Dior spokeswoman Mila Kunis—opened. Shot by Tim Walker, the Miss Dior Cherie ad showed Portman posing nude, using her arms as her only coverage and highlighted her gamine beauty with soft makeup and a tuxedo bowtie in her hair. It also captured the sexy yet youthful look that Black Swan epitomized. Portman’s partnership with Dior, then helmed by John Galliano, was her first beauty endorsement—and one that later felt strained after Galliano made anti-Semitic remarks, which Portman, who is Jewish, quickly condemned.
