DKNY chose the striking Twilight star to front its spring 2012 campaign in October 2011, when she was 24. The DKNY ads show her atop New York’s Waldorf Astoria hotel. Shot by photographers Inez Van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, a press release stated that the ads took the label “to new heights for spring,” and asked fans to look “at New York City — where there is always something new to discover — and DKNY from a new perspective, high above the city streets.”
Greene is also the face of DKNY Jeans. Those ads, shot in black and white, pack a bold punch while making a simple statement. The campaign was so successful that Greene appeared in its Fall 2012 ads, as well–and she had no complaints.
“I’ve always loved Donna Karan’s creations,” Greene said in a release. “To be a part of the brands’ message is incredibly exciting because it feels like such an organic fit. It’s easy to talk about how these clothes work for my lifestyle, whether I’m in New York, L.A. or traveling for work.”
